Welcome to the online world of Mamoon Remedies and Juniper Moon Sanctuary…

It all started with a sprig of Juniper and a desire to heal myself, my child, and share what I’ve learnt with others. The product of this desire is this website/online store and Juniper Moon Sanctuary, located in the high desert close to Joshua Tree National Park.

Everything on this site, is a tool, that I feel offers something, to those called to it. Juniper as a plant, represents new beginnings, purification, protection and even records, and is even affected by, our cosmos. What Juniper has taught me? Transcending, the ability to rise above your current circumstance, is a lot easier with the right tools and it needs to be done with/in nature.

I have been incredibly fortunate to welcome the most beautiful humans onto the land at Juniper Moon Sanctuary, since beginning to host in October 2017. When I acquired the land, I promised the universe I would continue to study the healing properties of these hardy desert plants and share that knowledge and the medicine of them with others. Airbnb was a way for me to continue to fix up the property and continue transforming it into a DIY apothecary and nature spa. However, what I have realized is, it is my guests who have come, left a piece of their spirit, stayed in touch, and/or returned, that make this place the sanctuary it truly is. Many of my guests have come to relax, ease their anxieties, and spend time in nature. It is my guests and community who have inspired me continue on the plant healing journey and often have helped me create these remedies. I continue to perfect the recipes and study the plants. My hope is that my guests and extended Juniper moon family build relationships with the land and themselves through the rituals and remedies prepared here.

We all have the power to heal ourselves. We just need to spend time in nature and resting our minds, in order to find the answers of “how to” that lay within us. I make tinctures, soaps, infused oils, face masks, body scrubs, massage bars, infused oils, and anything that the moon tells me to. One of the most important remedies developed on this land is the art of preparing and creating a ritual bath. Ritual baths help to cleanse and rejuvenate the body and the spirit. Couples can give them to each other to let go of past patterns and invite healthy new ones. Individuals can use the bath, ie the element of water, to empower the self by letting go of negative past patterns and being clear with the universe about what direction to move forward.

Everything is a work in progress and what I would like to call “an experience” or “tool” rather than product or something that isn’t dynamic for each person. Once we are able to make the connection that the invisible is real, we can draw from this power, to create the world we wish to live in. I hope to do that with you.
