Sign up for a workshop or request one to take place at Juniper Moon Sanctuary in Yucca Valley or in Los Angeles, California. Learn about the cosmology of California plants with a one on one plant hike with Mama Mamoon, or local community member, and consider combining it with hosting a workshop around plant medicine and remedies, like the ones at the online store. We are interested in giving back to our community and would love to host events for at-risk youth and our homeless populations as well as for schools and community members.

Host Your own Workshop at Juniper Moon Sanctuary

Rent the entire space for a healing related event. You can host up to 8 people for sleeping and up to 30 people on the property at a time. Make use of the outdoor baths, diy herbal ingredients, and recipes, ritual bath packages. Sound bathes and masseuses can be requested on the property during your stay.

Private DIY Self Care Parties

Take a weekend to unwind with your family, friends, and/ or colleagues and create handmade self care packages you can use to empower, heal, and share with others.

The Bridal Package: Spend a weekend preparing handmade self care items for the bride/groom and or party on the big day. You can create herbal treasures that keep the in-laws calm or create an entire aphrodisiac kit for a husband and wife’s first evening together including edible massage oils and handmade soaps.

Children’s Parties or Events: For their birthday, or a special day, give the gift of spiritual or emotional tools we have available to us in nature. Experience/ Themes include: Animal medicine ceremony and biomimicry and/or bath bombs and chemistry. Children will select and learn about their medicine animal and the traits that can help them overcome obstacles as well as create a remedy from nature and understand how it can calm them or give them courage. Up to 12 children.

Kitchen Witch Self Care Weekend

Includes stay for up to 6 friends for one night at Juniper moon Sanctuary and 2 days and 1 night of creating your own facial serums, soaps, lotions, and more. Can select up to 4 products from 12 choices. Also included: Nature walk and plant identification, intention setting ritual, letting go ritual, radiant energy meditation, 1- 20 minute consultation on self care tools you can use in the future. The package will be based on the moon cycle and ecological cycles during the time of the event.

Mamoon Remedies Kitchen Witch Workshop Series

January - June 2019

A series of workshops that provide participants with a treasure trove of hand-on experience making their own self care remedies. After creating simple tools for myself and others to help them from everything from anxiety, to trauma, skin conditions to brain tumors, and simple but luxurious ways to let go and take care of yourself, I have been asked, by many guests and friends to host workshops explaining how I made and learnt about the plants and remedies. What I found is that the remedies are easy and can mostly be made in our kitchen with the tools already there—nature always has and always will provide us with the tools to heal if we continue to protect it and we understand how to value it. The series is an experiment into disrupting the inefficient aspects of the medical system through creating learning communities and practical tools with a special focus on ailments associated with mental health and stigmatized groups and ailments, while encouraging us all to become our own health advocates. After each workshop, participants come away with a hands on experience making an herbal remedy, knowledge about the healing properties of the ingredients and how they affect your body, the historical and scientific uses of the materials used. The ability to self educate and create based on one’s personal needs and preferences allows participants to take their health and self care back into their own hands and into their own communities. Each participant will be guided through the learning process I used to discover about the materials used and provided with alternative approaches and resources for your own journey. You will also be encouraged to share your own learning process with others. The workshop will feature mind blowing facts and scientific discoveries on a highlighted plant, mineral, or animal associated with the remedy to encourage ecological understanding and relationships with the plants and tools you will use in the future.

Pricing and Accommodations:

The workshops will be held during weekends at Juniper Moon Sanctuary and the pricing will depend on the materials needed for the workshop. Each workshop will cost between $30-50 for one workshop and starting at $85 each day for the 2 day workshops and include the materials to create an item of your own and the class materials necessary.
