These are members of our high desert community that have reached out to share their services with others. Services will be rendered based on the service provider’s discretion, availability, state regulations and supply levels. Please show your deep gratitude by respecting other’s time, communicating honestly about your economic status if you are asking for sliding scale, and spreading the word about their business or services at the very minimum if you can’t offer donations or any other kind of exchange. Many of the people offering services are part of the Bipoc community or are giving all they can despite not having certain privileges you may have. Being conscious of what you have, and giving what you can, when you can, is the best way to approach the relationship. When in doubt. Ask simple questions. Please check to see if you fit the criteria to get these services before contacting any of them for free or sliding scale services (Letter guide above will help you) I encourage all of you to use these services as a way to learn and support more about each other. These resources will be updated regularly. (Please also see Herbalists call to Action from @herbalistswithoutborders looking for nervine remedies)

You will need to use your own judgement when considering any healing remedy or health care professional and independently seek out information before ever taking any supplement or engaging in any service of any kind. Use all these suggestions at your own risk, do your own research, and seek out health care professionals if necessary, and please email info@mamoonremedies.com if you feel you are called to offer your own services.

Psychological Services / Herbalists / Energy Work (and some)

Melissa Vanzetti “I am a licensed clinical social worker and trauma therapist in the area (29) and very close to opening the doors to my practice. I also am a trauma-informed yoga teacher and use somatic therapy in my clinical practice. I would very much like to be involved, I have an office in 29 I am still renovating and with COVID-19 not sure when I will be opening my brick and mortar but I will be offering tele-health as well. “

Vienna Jasmin: “I am an instructor and Psychosynthesis guide. This is a holistic practice in transpersonal therapy. I’m happy to volunteer hours in this way in person or remotely. I am also an energy worker and often blend modalities. I am currently aiding in facilitating a 4 part workshop on “The Work that Reconnects” with an amazing woman (Valerie Silidker). This work is deeply rooted in eco psychology and helps us to hold our pain. Teaches us how to look at the world and feel what is going on around us without turning a blind eye or turning away. It helps us to move through our pain, move with it and develop a relationship to it that allows us to show up and be of service in positive ways, in the ways that we feel called. I could see something like this being really useful.”

Accommodation/ Transportation Offers in the Desert

Stephanie Ballard: “ I'd be honored to host a BIPOC person for a day or a month. My guest room has a double bed, so its good for an individual, couple, or parent-child. Comes with private bath w/ tub. It can be a free retreat for someone needing peace and quiet. I can pick them up in Palm Springs. I'll pay their Flex bus fare, food, and beverages. I'll drive them to local sights, hiking, wherever. There's a massage table if healers want to provide sessions. In fact, the table is available for anyone to use here or elsewhere. And the living room is available for POC group retreats or meetings. I had 20 people in it once. The only condition is me and two cats will be onsite.
